Top Chefs served up their top fare during the annual Taste of Laguna at the Festival of Arts grounds Thursday night.
Chef – Restaurateur and innovator Antonio Mecheri went molecular with his French Macaron creations! Mecheri “stole the show” as the presentation was something of magic from a Houdini trick. Honey caviar, melon foam, gelato spheres, balsamic gels were all combined to stimulate your taste buds. Salted caramel, pistachio and blueberry lavender (organic and gluten-free) French macarons were stuffed with brie, figs, basil, Caprese, beets and goat cheese topped with a magical touch. For the grand finale, Mecheri paired his magical treats with delightful French champagnes. C’est La Vie Restaurant launched the macaron’s venture a couple of years ago and it’s been met with a great success!
